Unlike what some call "the safari" (because no, there are no giraffes or elephants), this CULTURA day immerses you in Dominican culture in a responsible, touching and unforgettable way.

Thanks to our numerous stops, you will be able to immerse yourself in local life and Dominican culture, but also discover what goes on behind the scenes.

On the program for this extraordinary day:

​

First of all we will visit a cigar factory and discover a unique know-how.

 

We will also visit an organic chocolate factory, going from bean to bar, without forgetting the best part: the tasting...

 

Then we will cross the sugar cane fields to go to disadvantaged villages more commonly called Haitian bateys to meet the children.

​​

For lunch, we will go to the home of a Dominican resident who will welcome us into his beautiful property.

Where we will share a moment of conviviality while tasting typical dishes.

​

He will also give you a demonstration of coffee and cocoa production and tasting, and you will be able to discover local sweets made with love.

We will also have the chance to discover the benefits of medicinal plants used for generations.

​

For the more curious and courageous, we also suggest a little detour to the Higuey market, more commonly known as the "poor man's market".

An authentic place, full of colors and aromas, where you will find local spices at low prices, but not only that...

​

And we will end our day by returning to the famous Altagracia Cathedral, an emblematic pilgrimage site in the country.
